LMAO so like the reason this happened, apparently, is that Kindergarten Cop was fairly popular in Japan, and at the time was the easiest reference to use. So when Team Silent was like “?????? wtf do american elementary schools look like anyway” they turned to that movie. And that is why Midwich Elementary is the school from Kindergarten Cop.
